Royal Celebrations
There are a number of milestones to be reached for The Royal Family in 2021 such as The Queen's 95th birthday and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's 10th wedding anniversary. Celebrate these milestones and other celebrations with The Royal Mint.
The Royal Maundy is an ancient ceremony, inspired by The Bible. On the day before Good Friday, Jesus washed the feet of his disciples and commanded them to ‘Love one another’. By washing the feet of the poor and giving money and gifts, the Royal Family were showing humility and compassion.
