Returning Gifts, Commemorative and Historic coins
If you’ve bought commemorative or historic coins or gifts and want to return them, we’re happy to offer you a refund or exchange, free of charge, provided the item or items are returned within 30 days of receipt.
We always do our best to process refunds within 7-10 days. Please make sure the items are in the same condition as you received them, including the packaging.

How to return your item(s)
Please package your product carefully and enclose a note with the following:
- Customer Code (which can be found on your Despatch Note)
- Despatch Ref (which can be found on your Despatch Note)
- Reason for return
To make it even easier for you to return your item or items, we’ve created two, easy ways for you to return your products. Pick the option that’s easiest for you, and we’ll do the rest.
Returning from within the United Kingdom
Option 1 - Return through your Royal Mint Customer Account
- Log in to your account and find the order details from the item(s) you want to return
- Click on ‘Return your item(s)’, next to the order you wish to return.
- A new window will open taking you to our returns and delivery management partner.
- Input your order number and the postcode the item or items were delivered. Complete the returns process, and a label will be generated.
Option 2 - Return through The Royal Mint Returns page
You can return your item or items from the Returns page, too. Simply click on the Return your item button, and you’ll be directed to our returns portal. Simply enter your order number along with the postcode the order was delivered to, and the website will do the rest, including generating a label.

Returning bullion products
If you decide you no longer want the bullion coins or bars you have purchased from us, unfortunately, it is not possible to return them. Prices are determined by the live precious metal spot prices, the goods we supply are dependent on fluctuations in financial markets. Therefore there is no statutory right to return or cancel an order once placed under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
However, should you feel the bullion coin or bar does not meet your expectations of The Royal Mint high-quality standards, please contact our customer service team within 14 days after the date of delivery and we will give you full instructions on how to return your product for full quality inspection.
After contacting us, you may be asked to complete the Returns slip which you received with the item and enclose it in your return package. This item must be returned in the original packaging and must be packed securely and sent through a track and trace postal service.
Please note – Once the product has been received by us, it may take up to ten working days to inspect your order and advise you of any applicable outcome.
