The Royal Mint’s new range of Christmas ornaments is inspired by the interplay between light and shade that is so important in the festive season. Created by Product Designer Abbie Williams, the designs also reflect The Royal Mint’s heritage and experience, and the skills of our own craftspeople passed on over centuries. The designs have been brought to life using a process called hexurity to capture the dancing of light and shade upon precious metal – because what says Christmas more clearly than the flicker of a flame, the twinkle of a fairy light or the lustre of a decoration nestled on a pine branch?
