Inspired by the original stories of A.A. Milne, Piglet is the star of the last coin for 2020 and third in our new collection celebrating the wonderful world of Winnie the Pooh and friends. Loved by many for his loyal friendship and timid but brave personality, Piglet is shown in one of E.H. Shepard’s charming illustrations, captured using colour-printing techniques. The little pig sits happily blowing at a colourful dandelion almost as big as his head, while a busy bee joins the scene from previous coins – tying each coin in the series together.

This is the first time Piglet has featured on a UK coin struck by The Royal Mint. Just 18,000 925 sterling silver coins are available and each one comes in a beautifully decorated acrylic block with a booklet all about Pooh’s friend Piglet.
