Regarded as the ‘chief coin of the world’ the sovereign has been struck for more than 500 years and the Royal Mint flagship coin. The Royal Mint continues to produce Proof and Bullion sovereign each year as well as sourcing historic sovereigns, offering a full range to celebrate, collect or invest in.
By entering the competition, you will be in with a chance of winning one of three prizes, a 2020 BU Sovereign, a 1957 Queen Elizabeth Historic sovereign, a 2020 Bullion sovereign. Entry into the competition can be done by answering the question below and adding your details.
Three winners will be selected at random from all correct entries. The Competition will run from Monday 28th September through to Thursday 1st October 23:59 UK.

More than 500 years after it was first struck, The Sovereign endures. Regarded as the ‘chief coin of the world’, The Sovereign is available as a gold bullion coin.

The promoter of this competition is The Royal Mint Limited of Llantrisant, Pontyclun, United Kingdom CF72 8YT (“The Royal Mint”). Any promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any other social media platform used by The Royal Mint as part of the promotion.
The competition opens on Monday 28 September 2020 and closes on Thursday 1 October 2020 at 23:59hrs BST. Any entries received before the opening or after the closing dates/times will not be included and no correspondence will be entered into.
Three winners will be selected at random from all eligible entrants and will be notified by email. Names may also be announced on Facebook. Where possible the draw will take place within 72 hours of the competition closing.

Subject to availability of stock – if the product becomes unavailable during the time of the competition running the prize will be substituted for a like for like product of the same or similar value.
Winners will be selected using an online random generator.
The winners will be contacted by Monday 5th October 2020. Once the winners have been notified, they will have until 00:00 BST on Friday 9th October 2020 to respond to claim their prize and confirm their address for delivery. If a winner fails to claim their prize, or chooses not to claim it, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner drawn. The winners may be asked to participate in any related publicity to the prize and/or asked to write a review of the prize.

There is no cash alternative and the prize is non-refundable and non-transferable and cannot be used in conjunction with any offer. The prize will be sent to the winners by November 9th 2020. Please note that due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the delivery of prizes may be subject to delay. Please contact us if you have not received your prize by November 9th 2020, where we will be able to provide you with an update.
This competition is not open to employees of The Royal Mint or their immediate family. Competition entry is not conditional to consenting to marketing.
