In 2021, The Royal Mint redefined bullion security with four new security features. Applied to our Britannia coin, it has made the coin the most visually secure in the world. First appearing on gold and silver editions of the bullion coin, this year these security elements feature on the platinum editions of the coin for the very first time. In 2022, Her Late Majesty The Queen also celebrates her Platinum Jubilee, and to mark this momentous occasion, this popular coin is available in exclusive jubilee-themed packaging until the end of 2022. 

The Britannia 2022 1oz platinum bullion coin is available to purchase individually or in tubes containing ten editions of the coin.

• Tincture Lines

Tincture lines highlight Britannia’s Union flag shield, which is a powerful symbol of Britain.

The background’s surface animation reflects the movement of the sea, which adds to the intricacy and safety of the coin.
