Winnie the Pooh is the latest family favourite to be brought to life in an official United Kingdom coin collection – joining our range of family favourites. This brand-new series is a hint of nostalgia for fans of the ‘silly old bear’ and is a great way to introduce Pooh Bear and his friends to a new generation.

Inspired by the classic stories of A. A. Milne, the coin features one of E. H. Shepard’s charming illustrations, captured using colour printing. Pooh sits enjoying a pot of honey in bright colour, while the background has a subtle watercolour effect. You’ll also spot a friendly bee, which buzzes from one coin to the next, connecting the series.

This is the first time Winnie the Pooh has featured on a coin struck by The Royal Mint and this official UK coin has been approved by Buckingham Palace. Just 18,000 925 sterling silver coins are available in this presentation and each comes in a beautifully decorated acrylic block with a booklet all about the ‘silly old bear’.
