The Royal Mint Through Time Premium Set celebrates the history of The Royal Mint with a coin struck at each of the historic locations we have called home. This set includes a third guinea featuring George III on the obverse, struck at the Tower of London, and a Sovereign with Queen Victoria’s young head portrait and a shield design on the reverse, struck at Tower Hill. The third coin is a Sovereign featuring the second definitive coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II struck at Llantrisant in South Wales. Each of these coins show how coinage production has changed throughout the centuries, with the development and use of pioneering new technologies. This coin set comes with a booklet detailing the history of The Royal Mint and a signed copy of The Royal Mint: An Illustrated History by Kevin Clancy, Director of The Royal Mint Museum.
