This Elizabeth II 1992 Maundy Set includes a set of four coins struck in 925 fine silver. These coins include fourpenny, threepenny, twopenny and one penny pieces that are traditionally given to the elderly during a special Maundy Thursday service. Each coin features the first coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, designed by Mary Gillick. The reverse features the date 1992 and the coins in this set would have been given to those who attended the special service at Chester Cathedral that year.
