This Elizabeth II 1986 Maundy Set features coins struck in fine silver. The four coins included in this set are fourpenny, threepenny, twopenny and one penny pieces. Each of these coins were given as a complete set to the elderly at a special Maundy Thursday service at Chichester Cathedral in 1986. The obverse of each coin features the first definitive coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Mary Gillick.
