As we navigate through a period of growing uncertainty, several factors are shaping the market landscape. Rising global tensions are contributing to increased volatility, which could have broader implications for the economy. 

In the UK, inflation has ticked up to 2.2%, exceeding the Bank of England’s target, with expectations that it may rise further in the coming months. 

Across the Atlantic, inflation is also above the 2% target and data published today could influence the Federal Reserve's decision about interest rates in September. 

Aside from monetary policy, the race for the White House has entered a new stage with both main candidates now confirmed by their parties - a new President could mean new priorities which could affect precious metals prices.
