Mint & Malt combines the smooth flavours of the Welsh whisky distillery, Penderyn, with the quintessentially British Royal Mint Experience to create a truly cultured and varied day out. This package includes the optional extra of lunch at Ty Newydd Country Hotel, Hirwaun, to add the finishing touch to a great day out.

During your visit to The Royal Mint Experience, you will learn more about where your coins are made, the history behind The Royal Mint, and you will also be able to strike your own coin.

You will then move on to the Penderyn Whisky distillery where you will learn the history of this iconic Welsh whisky, take part in a tasting session and even have time to visit the on-site gift shop.

Lunch at the Ty Newydd Country Hotel is optional, but we highly recommend it to put that finishing touch to your day.
