To mark this milestone, there will be a very special chance to strike your own anniversary coin – a limited-time keepsake created just for this unforgettable weekend. On Saturday 16th May, the celebrations really come alive with a Family Fun Day, packed with stalls, music, games, and brilliant children’s attractions for all ages.

With extended opening hours, extra activities bubbling under the surface, and whispers of a very special guest arrival, this is more than a visit… it’s a celebration ten years in the making.

Team Wales Athlete

Sofia Micallef is a gymnast who represented Team Wales on the international stage at just 15 years old, competing at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games against senior elite athletes. Her selection at such a young age reflects her talent, dedication, and progression through the performance pathway.

Following her competitive career, Sofia has remained an active part of Team Wales through her work on the Youth Engagement Programme, where she now uses her experiences to inspire and engage young people in sport and physical activity.

Join us for a fabulous Family Fun Day as The Royal Mint Experience turns 10! Bring the whole family and enjoy carnival games, face painting, funfair rides, inflatable obstacles, live music and a fantastic selection of market stalls. We will also be displaying some of our fondest memories and milestones from over the years!

Frequently Asked Questions

All tour tickets are non-refundable.

A maximum of 3 tours per day, per person, will be allowed.

The management reserves the right to cancel any tours in excess of these 3 without a refund being given.

A maximum of 3 ‘strike your own’ coins per person per tour

Each ‘strike your own’ coin will be charged at £8.50 per coin

All guests must be present on the tour in order to obtain ‘strike your own’ coins

Guests are permitted to strike 1 coin each per tour, with the option to purchase an additional 2 that will have been prestruck earlier that same day.

A minimum of 90 minutes must be left between tour bookings
