A Guide to the Zodiac
Understanding the signs written in the stars
For thousands of years, people have looked to the sky and wondered: what is my zodiac sign, and what does it say about me? The zodiac has long been a symbolic calendar – a way of mapping personality, fate and the subtle rhythms of time itself. But how do you know your zodiac sign and what do their symbols really represent?
What are the Zodiac Signs?
There are 12 zodiac signs, each linked to a constellation and a stretch of dates during the calendar year. These signs belong to four core zodiac elements:
Element — Zodiac Sign
Fire — Aries, Leo and Sagittarius
Water — Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces
Earth — Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn
Air — Gemini, Libra and Aquarius
The elements add another layer of meaning to astrology. Fire signs are bold and energetic, whilst water signs are intuitive and emotional. Earth signs are grounded and practical, whereas air signs are intellectual and communicative.

The Rarest and the Most Common Zodiac Signs
According to statistics, Aquarius (20 January–18 February) is often considered the rarest zodiac sign, whilst Virgo (1–22 September) is believed to be one of the most common. Astrology suggests that every sign has strengths and character, from Capricorn’s ambition to Pisces’ creativity and Leo’s charisma.

The Zodiac in Art and Myth
While the times may change and traditions evolve, the act of giving coins as christening gifts is still a very popular way of wishing new babies well for the future.
The Zodiac in Art and Myth
The constellations may be ancient but our fascination with them is timeless. Whichever sign you were born under, the zodiac is one of history’s most enduring systems of identity.
Astrology has become a meaningful way to mark personal milestones and zodiac symbols have become popular birthday gifts, couples horoscope gifts and thoughtful tokens for fans of astrology.
Written in the Stars and Struck in Precious Metal
Bringing together artistry, mythology and intrinsic value, our new Zodiac Bullion Bar Collection offers a modern interpretation of this tradition.
Each bar features a design by multimedia artist Dominique Holmes, who has subtly incorporated the related zodiac elements – fire, water, earth or air – to create visual patterns rooted in ancient symbolism.
