On the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace, ten statues of royal beasts stand as proud emblems of the union between Henry VIII and his third wife, Jane Seymour. Originally carved in stone, these majestic guardians have been recreated on coins in a remarkable bullion collection from The Royal Mint. The ninth release in the collection is dedicated to the Royal Dragon.
David Lawrence’s modern interpretation of the dragon graces the reverse of the coin, which is enhanced by surface animation for visual intrigue and enhanced security. Featuring the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III on the obverse, this bullion coin is also available as a 10oz silver edition, as well as struck in fine platinum and gold.
