Commissioned by Henry VIII in tribute to his rich ancestry, the ten royal beasts that stand guard along the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace symbolise the strength of the Tudor dynasty. Reimagined for The Royal Tudor Beasts Collection, these heraldic beasts feature on bullion coinage through the wonderful illustrations of David Lawrence.
The ninth bullion coin in the collection, the Royal Dragon design features the fiery guardian in all its majestic glory, set against a backdrop that evokes the splendour of the Tudor era with enhanced features for added security and visual appeal.
The obverse features the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III, designed by Martin Jennings. Struck in 999.9 fine silver to Bullion standard, the coin is also available as a 2oz silver edition as well as struck in platinum and fine gold.
