• The Royal Mint has launched the fourth coin in its collection which commemorates the 40^th anniversary of Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi™.
• The coin features Han Solo™ and Chewbacca™, in addition to a lenticular feature.

The Royal Mint has launched the fourth and final coin in its Star Wars™ Character Duos collection.

The coin features Han Solo™, who rose from an impoverished childhood on the streets of Corellia to become one of the heroes of the Rebel Alliance and Captain of the Millenium Falcon and Chewbacca™, a legendary Wookiee warrior and Han Solo’s long-time co-pilot.

Last year, The Royal Mint celebrated the launch of its Star Wars-inspired collection with a streamed coin reveal from The Royal Mint Experience, in Llantrisant, South Wales, which has received over 16,000 views so far. The first three coins in the collection feature R2-D2™ and C-3PO™, Darth Vader™ and Emperor Palpatine™, and Luke Skywalker™ and Princess Leia™, and have proven popular with collectors rushing to secure their own piece of Star Wars memorabilia.

Each coin in the Star Wars commemorative coin collection features a lenticular feature. The lenticular feature on the latest coin in the collection depicts both the Rebel Alliance 'Starbird' and the Millenium Falcon.

Combining traditional minting techniques with modern technology, The Royal Mint’s craftspeople have faithfully reproduced these characters on official UK coins.
