Ten stone-sculpted royal beasts line the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace as dynastic guardians of the Tudor dynasty. Built at the request of Henry VIII for his third wife, Jane Seymour, these formidable creatures are the inspiration of the Royal Tudor Beasts bullion collection, which continues with this coin.
Designed by David Lawrence, the coin’s bespoke reverse dynamically evokes the splendour of the Tudor period and incorporates surface animation for both visual appeal and added security. Struck in 999.9 fine gold to Bullion standard, the coin is also available as a 1/4oz gold edition as well as struck in platinum and fine silver.
