Ten stone-carved royal beasts stand along the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace as powerful symbols of the Tudor dynasty. Enduring and imposing, these majestic figures have inspired the Royal Tudor Beasts bullion collection, which continues with the ninth release in the collection, dedicated to the iconic heraldic emblem that is the Royal Dragon.
The artist behind the coin’s reverse design is illustrator David Lawrence, who has created a contemporary interpretation of the Royal Dragon that has been enhanced with a striking surface animation that achieves both aesthetic appeal and security. The obverse bears the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III, designed by Martin Jennings. Struck in 999.9 fine gold to Bullion standard, the coin is also available as a 1oz gold edition, as well as struck in fine platinum and silver.
