UK Tax Treatment of Gold Bullion

Gold bullion bars from The Royal Mint are exempt from VAT in the UK under current legislation. This means VAT is not added to the purchase price of qualifying investment gold.

Eligible bullion held in The Vault® can be withdrawn or sold back to The Royal Mint through the Buy Back Facility, providing convenient options for managing your physical bullion.
