The journey begins with a blank metal disc, carefully placed into the press where, in three powerful strikes, Baby, Ginger, Scary, Sporty and Posh are brought to life using 200 tonnes of (Girl) Power. Each coin is then inspected by hand to make sure it is worthy of the best-selling girl group of all time. Any coin that falls short is set aside and replaced with one that passes our rigorous checks.
To make the coins even more special, a splash of colour is added to selected pieces in the collection. Using our advanced laser colour printer, each coin is carefully placed onto a tray and fed into the machine, where the design is brought vividly to life. After colouring, every coin is checked once more to make sure it’s just right. Fun fact: it takes around 10 minutes to colour a single tray of coins. Following this, the coins are carefully placed into their packaging, ready to Spice Up Your Life. .
