This 1894 Half-Sovereign has been struck in 22 carat gold and is in Fine condition. The Half-Sovereign features the date 1885 on the reverse, below the exergue line, along with Benedetto Pistrucci’s famous St George and the dragon design. The obverse features the final coinage portrait of Queen Victoria, designed by Thomas Brock, to replace the controversial ‘Jubilee Head’.
