Benjamin Franklin's silver Half Dollar was struck in 90% silver and commemorates one of the founding fathers of the United States of America. The coin was minted from just 1948 to 1963.
The obverse of this coin has Benjamin's Franklin portrait, with the legend 'IN GOD WE TRUST'. While the reverse features the Liberty Bell with a small eagle and denomination below.
The coin was originally designed by John R. Sinnock in 1948 and features his initials on Franklin's shoulder.
