The tenth UEFA European Championship took place 28 years ago in England and was commonly referred to as Euro 96. The championships have been held every four years since their inception in 1960 which took place in Paris, France. For Euro 1996 sixteen teams participated in a total of 31 matches across 8 different venues with a total of 64 goals scored and over 1.275 million people attending the games.
