This George V 1928 Crown Coin is struck in 500 fine silver to Almost Circulated condition. The obverse depicts the coinage portrait of George V, as designed by Bertram Mackennal. The reverse features a design of a wreath of shamrocks decorated with roses and thistles, designed by George Kruger Gray. Given the nickname ‘wreath crown’ because of their wreath design, these were traditionally given out as Christmas gifts to loyal customers of the Bank of England.
