This 1927 florin has been struck in fine silver to Proof standard. This coin has been graded by NGC as PF64, showing an average or better strike with miniscule imperfections. The obverse features the coinage portrait of George V designed by Bertram Mackennal. The reverse features a cross of crowned sceptres with angled shields of England, Scotland and Ireland. The florin was first introduced towards the first half of the nineteenth century, when there was growing enthusiasm for decimalisation.
