This bronze medal depicts the Jacobite figure James III, known as the Elder Pretender. The medal weighs 42.38 grammes and measures 49 millimetres in diameter. The obverse showcases his draped and armoured bust facing right, with the inscription ‘VNICA SALVS’. The reverse side portrays a Hanoverian horse trampling a lion and unicorn, with the city of London in the distance, accompanied by the inscription ‘QVID GRAVIVS CAPTA’ and the year ‘MDCCXXI’.
