Celebrate the work of Arnold Machin RA with this coin set from The Royal Mint

Following the success of the Mary Gillick Sovereign set, The Royal Mint is proud to present The Arnold Machin Set. This coin set features three Sovereigns, each bearing the second definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.

Machin’s portrait of Her Majesty is arguably the most replicated image to date. The design also featured on British stamps for over 50 years after he used his coinage effigy for inspiration. The Royal Mint has released this coin set to honour the work of Arnold Machin RA, making it the ideal addition to any collection and the perfect complement to The Mary Gillick Sovereign Set.

The Arnold Machin Set comprises the 1974 Sovereign, the 1979 Proof Sovereign and the 1980 Half-Sovereign, all containing the famous Machin portrait.
