Ten stone-sculpted royal beasts line the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace, a troupe of fearsome guardians commissioned by Henry VIII to celebrate his union with his third wife, Jane Seymour. These powerful symbols of the Tudor dynasty are the inspiration behind The Royal Tudor Beasts Bullion Collection, which continues with the Seymour Panther.
The panther is the tenth release in the collection and is the last of the beasts to appear individually on a bullion coin. Created by series artist David Lawrence, the coin’s reverse design captures the ferocity of the beast and has been further enhanced by surface animation for additional security. Struck in 999.9 fine gold to bullion standard, the coin is also available as a 1oz gold edition, as well as in platinum and fine silver
