A figure counted amongst the Aesir, the 12 gods of Asgard, Loki is a trickster known for his mischievous nature and unpredictability. Sometimes he is referred to as the ‘Slanderer of the Gods’ or the ‘Source of Deceit’, and in some myths he is considered a blood brother to Odin the All-Father. Loki’s beauty and charm bestows the god with an alluring charisma and, for good or bad, he is a central figure in Norse mythology, particularly for the part he plays in the death of Baldr.

Embellished with a stunning antiqued finish, this minted bullion bar features a unique illustration that portrays Loki sat on a tree holding a sprig of mistletoe, the plant that ultimately leads to Baldr’s death. One of his monstrous children, the titanic serpent called Jörmungandr, coils around the branches beneath Loki’s feet.
