Meet the Speakers
Nick Bowkett – The Royal Mint
Following his resounding success leading the wholesale business within The Royal Mint's precious metals division, Nick has recently progressed into the new role of Global Head of Growth for precious metals, leading The Royal Mint’s expansion into new markets globally.
With over 14 years’ experience within bullion, Nick is spearheading the growth and further development of The Royal Mint’s precious metals division worldwide; strengthening The Royal Mint’s market share within the D2C and B2B customer markets.
His new focus centres around creating premium and innovative products – including the development of corporate and premium precious metals gifting solutions – as well as engaging with central banks, where he will leverage his sales expertise gained from his experience working with international brands and high-net-worth clients.
Joe Cavatoni – World Gold Council
Joe joined the World Gold Council in 2016 and is currently serving as the Senior Market Strategist for North America. Additionally, Joe serves as Principal Executive Officer for the World Gold Trust Services, LLC; President and Principal Executive Officer of WGC USA Asset Management Company, LLC.
With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry (including 15 years working in Asia), Joe’s expertise is in global capital markets, exchange traded funds, asset management, trading, and business/platform development. Prior to joining the World Gold Council, Joe acted as Managing Director at BlackRock where he was responsible for iShares Capital Markets – Americas. Prior to BlackRock, he held senior positions at UBS, Merrill Lynch and Bank of America focused on equity derivatives trading, securities financing, and lending.
Joe’s career is centred around discovery – finding the best way to turn business plans into viable commercial activities and looking for innovative ideas that “break the mould.”
