100 years of bravery in the skies

Coinciding with the release of the final coin in the RAF 100 collection this limited edition stamp and coin cover has been created to mark the Royal Airforce’s 100-year history.

The six stamps are cancelled with a Cosford, Shifnal postmark and are accompanied by four coins depicting three iconic aircrafts: The Vulcan, Lightning II and Spitfire – these are joined by the Sea king helicopter.

The inside of the pack, written by Nigel Steel of the Imperial War Museum, details the history of the RAF and its evolution in the inter war years through innovation and technology.
