A Prestigious Collection of 50p Coins Struck as Rarely Issued Gold Piedfort Editions

Over the last 50 years the 50p has featured some of our most prestigious military designs, and has become a firm favourite with collectors. As the 50p turns 50, we’re delighted to issue a military themed set marking this numismatic milestone. Available as a rarely issued gold Proof piedfort edition, this celebratory set contains five coins struck to Proof standard which are double the weight of the gold Proof editions.

Coins marking the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings, the 50th anniversary of D-Day and the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain are presented alongside two coins commemorating the 150th anniversary of the creation of the Victoria Cross medal.
