Capturing the Passion of the Nation in Precious Metal

 

The Royal Mint has a special relationship with Her Late Majesty The Queen as we have struck every official United Kingdom coin of her reign. Since 1968, we have been based at Llantrisant in South Wales, where we work throughout the year striking the nation’s coins; including the coins in The Queen’s Beasts Collection. The latest release in this dynamic series features the Red Dragon of Wales, with a design that captures the spirit and beauty of the nation it represents.

Just 500 coins have been struck in five ounces of 999 fine silver and finished to Proof standard. Each coin comes in a Royal Mint case with a booklet that explores the inspiration behind the series and the modern interpretation of the Red Dragon of Wales.
