Royal Mint coin designer Jody Clark is in a rare position as a modern coin designer. Since creating the current coinage portrait of Her Majesty The Queen, the artist’s designs can be found on both sides of several new coins, including those in The Queen’s Beasts Collection. The youngest designer to have created a definitive coinage portrait of Her Majesty has turned his talents to this dynamic series, which celebrates remarkable royal times and brings the art of heraldry up to date with contemporary designs. 

The quarter-ounce coin is a fine example of The Royal Mint’s craftsmanship, with every detail of the design captured in our finest Proof finish on the coin’s 22mm diameter surface. Each coin has been struck in 999.9 fine gold and is presented in a Royal Mint case with a booklet that reveals more on this modern design and the story of the Red Dragon.
