A Premium Set for a Prestigious Occasion
The reign of Her Majesty The Queen has become a story of remarkable events and anniversaries. In 2018, as Her Majesty marks the 65th anniversary of her coronation, The Royal Mint is marking the occasion as it has done for so many important royal moments. For 2018 only, a celebratory mint mark will be struck on The Sovereign – the coin of the monarch – to commemorate this historic anniversary. Queen Elizabeth II is the first British monarch to mark 65 years of service, making the addition of this particular mint mark a minting first.
Two three-coin sets are available as part of The Sovereign 2018 Collection. This is the premium of the two sets and contains the larger editions from the collection, including The Double-Sovereign, The Sovereign and The Half-Sovereign. There are just 450 premium sets available, struck in 22 carat gold and finished to Proof standard.
