Celebrating 30 years of Philip Nathans iconic Britannia design

This year the annual release of The Britannia One Ounce Silver Brilliant Uncirculated Coin comes at a special time, as Philip Nathan's modern masterpiece celebrates its 30th anniversary. His design appeared on the very first Britannia coins issued in 1987, chosen for its contemporary approach to tradition.

While other Britannia coins bear a new design each year, this one ounce silver coin always carries Philip Nathan's interpretation - a constant classic. The award-winning design has been struck on the reverse of this 999 fine silver coin, while the obverse features the fifth definitive coinage portrait of Her Majesty The Queen created by Royal Mint coin designer Jody Clark.

Each year-dated coin is finished to Brilliant Uncirculated standard and boxed complete with a booklet that describes the artist's inspiration, and a certificate confirming its limited release of just 10,000 editions.
