New Military Coins from The Royal Mint
ENGRAVED IN HISTORY

Although Her Majesty’s Coronation was in 1953, she officially became Queen in 1952 after the passing of her father, King George VI. No Sovereigns were struck in 1952, but in the 10th anniversary year of her becoming Queen, The Royal Mint did strike a number of Sovereigns bearing the beautiful ‘Young Head’ portrait of Her Majesty by Mary Gillick.

Collectors of key year dates in Her Majesty’s reign should seriously consider the 1962 Sovereign, from the 10th anniversary year of her reign, and incredibly the ones that we can offer you are in the top grade of Unc – Uncirculated condition.
