A unique coin as in 1912 the Mint in Canada produced both gold Sovereigns and gold Dollars. The 1912 gold Dollar was struck in very low numbers, with around 165,000 produced.
The coin is 8.3592 grams of 90% pure gold and is 21.59 mm in diameter with a thickness of 1.82mm.
The obverse is a crowned portrait of George V, engraved by Sir Edgar Bertram Mackennal, with the coins reverse engraved by W. Blackmore.
