  • The award-winning attraction is celebrating all things dinosaurs between Monday 12th and Friday 16th February, with a series of activities sure to excite your little ones.
  • Visitors will also have the opportunity to strike their own Tyrannosaurus-Rex 50p coin.

The Royal Mint Experience, based in Llantrisant, South Wales will be offering a variety of roar-some dinosaur-themed activities during February Half Term. Between Monday 12th and Friday 16th February, the award-winning attraction will be offering a series of activities celebrating all things prehistoric.

The award-winning visitor attraction will be celebrating all things dinosaurs this February Half Term, from making dinosaur-shaped pancakes to creating colossal crafts.

Pre-historic Pancakes – Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th February, £3.96 Per Portion

Visitors can enjoy flipping and decorating their own dinosaur-shaped pancakes, to celebrate Shrove Tuesday.

Animal Encounters – Wednesday 14th February, £10 Single Ticket/£35 Group of 4

Creatures on the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List will be coming to The Royal Mint Experience. Visitors can view, hold, and engage with these fascinating animals and discover how to play their part in helping to preserve them.

Make Your Own Fossil –Thursday 15th and Friday 16th February, £5 Per Person

The Royal Mint Experience will be hosting a colossal craft event in its immersive area. A ranger will guide visitors through making a cast of their favourite dinosaur. An opportunity for visitors to discover more about the stellar Stegosaurus, dashing Diplodocus and terrific Tyrannosaurus-Rex before taking home their very own plaster fossil.

Dan Johnson, Visitor Attraction Manager at The Royal Mint Experience said: “February Half Term is always a popular time at The Royal Mint Experience, and we are excited to welcome visitors to explore the exhibition and enjoy a variety of fun-filled prehistoric activities!

Visitors will also have the opportunity to add a roar-some piece to their coin collections and strike their own Tyrannosaurus-Rex 50p coin, launched at the end of last year in partnership with the Natural History Museum.”
