New Military Coins from The Royal Mint
ENGRAVED IN HISTORY

In 2021, Her Majesty The Queen became the first British monarch to celebrate a 95th birthday. Struck throughout Her Majesty’s life and reign, The Sovereign is closely associated with royalty and has been since its introduction in 1489. This two-coin set pays tribute to a lifetime of heart and devotion by bringing together two Sovereigns – one from the year Her Majesty was born and one from the year she celebrated her 95th birthday.

Both Sovereigns in this set feature unique details. The 2021 Proof edition of The Sovereign has a milled edge with 95 mills – one for each year of The Queen's life – and includes an exclusive ‘95’ crown privy mark. The 1926 George V Sovereign was struck at the branch mint in Pretoria, South Africa, and therefore includes the ‘SA’ mint mark.

The coins are presented together in a case with a booklet exploring the story of the special Sovereigns in this set.
