2002 was a year tinged with sadness for the Royal Family and the nation. The Queen Mother, a hugely popular figure with the British public, passed away in her sleep on the 30 March at the grand age of 101. On the 9 April a nation mourned as her coffin made its way on a gun carriage from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey, thousands lining the streets to pay their respects. Gone but not forgotten, remember and celebrate the strength and dignity of this remarkable Royal matriarch with this exquisite gold £5 coin. A must for any collection.
