The origin of Rome is told through the story of two twins brothers, Romulus and Remus, who were raised by a she-wolf and grew up to found the city of Rome. This Bronze Follis, showing Romulus and Remus suckling on the she-wolf,  is thought to be one of the first ever commemorative coins. Issued under the reign of Emperor Constantine  between 332 and 346 AD, the coins portrait features the patron saint of Rome, known as Roma.
