James I Gold Half-Laurel of Ten Shillings, third coinage (1619-25)
Obverse - Fourth laureate and draped bust left, straight ties at rear of bust, value behind, Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding on both sides, initial mark thistle (1621-23)
Reverse - Long cross fourchée over crowned quartered shield of arms, no punctuation,
Lightly toned, rim a little ragged, some light ghosting of reverse cross onto obverse, otherwise good very fine.
