The Royal Mint’s very first A to Z coin hunt celebrating all things British – 26 coins, 26 letters and all featuring a Great British icon for you to collect and keep. From Great British landmarks such as Stonehenge, to a Double Decker Bus, the Quintessential A to Z salutes what it means to be British.

The Royal Mint has hidden all 26 coins of The Great British Coin Hunt 10p coins on its website www.royalmint.com – find all 26 A to Z coins and you will be in with a chance of winning some great prizes …

• Win one of three Great British Coin Hunt Collections of 26 A to Z Silver proof 10p coins in a presentation case  worth nearly £1,000.

• Plus 50 runners up win The Great British Coin Hunt 2018 Collector Album.



The competition opens on Monday 22nd October 2018 at 0900hrs BST and closes on Friday 30th November 2018 at 0900hrs BST. Each of the three winners will receive a “The Great British Coin Hunt Silver Proof 26-Coin Collection – A to Z 10p Coins” in a presentation case from The Royal Mint Limited (“The Royal Mint”).  50 runners-up will receive a “The Great British Coin Hunt 2018 Collector Album”. Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entrants on Friday 30th November 2018 and notified by email. 

Once the winners have been notified, they will have 48 hours to respond to claim their prize. If an original winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable timeframe, or if the winner fails to claim their prize, or chooses not to claim it, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner drawn. The prizes will be despatched to the winners by Monday 17th December 2018. The winners may be asked to participate in any related publicity to the prize.

To be eligible to enter this competition simply find and collect the 26 Great British A to Z coins hidden across The Royal Mint website (www.royalmint.com). Clues as to where you can find the coins on the website will be promoted via The Royal Mint’s social media.  Once you have collected all 26 coins enter your name and email address on the Competition entry page and click the ‘enter the competition ‘ button. 


The Royal Mint uses a Javascript cookie that’s stored within your browser – this allows The Royal Mint to  track the coins that you find and keep an overall score. To take part in the online Coin Hunt you’ll need to enable cookies as each time you find a coin a value is added to the cookie called ‘CollectedClues’.

You must be 16 years of age or older to be entered into the competition. There is no cash alternative and the prize is non-refundable and non-transferable. This competition is not open to employees of the Royal Mint or their immediate family. Competition entry is not conditional to consenting to marketing.

Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and agreed to be bound by them when they are entered into the competition. All decisions made by The Royal Mint relating to this competition are final and binding.

Under no circumstances will The Royal Mint be responsible for any loss, damages, costs or expenses arising from or in any way connected with any errors, defects, interruptions, malfunctions or delays in the promotion of the competition or acceptance of the prize.

The Royal Mint will not be responsible, unless required by law, for any loss, changes, costs or expenses which may arise in connection with this competition and The Royal Mint can cancel or alter the competition at any stage.
