The Queen's Beasts

The Queen’s Beasts Collection Continues

When Her Majesty The Queen was crowned in 1953, the entrance to Westminster Abbey was guarded by ten fantastical creatures. The Queen’s Beasts symbolised the centuries of heritage that Queen Elizabeth II continued on that coronation day.

The collection began in the year The Queen became the world’s longest reigning living monarch, and continues in the year that Her Majesty marks her Sapphire Jubilee and the House of Windsor celebrates its 100th anniversary.

The second beast to be released is the Unicorn of Scotland. The Unicorn, along with the Lion of England, is a supporter of the Royal Arms of the United Kingdom.
