The whole world is gearing up for London 2012 and the Royal Mint is proud to play its part with a series of magnificent UK £5 coins that countdown the years of the Thirtieth Olympiad - 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. The four companion coins complement one another beautifully, each featuring a border symbolising a bird’s eye view of the new stadium, a countdown ‘clock’ and the London 2012 logo.
In Brilliant Uncirculated quality, the 2010 coin is now available and for the special reverse the artist has chosen to depict the sport of Athletics. The figure 2 is overlaid to denote the second year of the countdown.
