This 2010-dated coin is the second coin in the Countdown collection and represents the sport of Athletics. The London 2012 Olympic logo and the number '2' is included in the coin’s reverse design denoting just two years to go before the greatest sporting event in British history. As with all UK legal tender coins, the Queen's portrait appears on the obverse.
The reverse features a design representing the sport of Swimming, specially created by Claire Aldridge, a Royal Mint Engraver, while the obverse bears the Queen’s portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS.
