The whole world is gearing up for London 2012 and the Royal Mint is proud to play its part with a series of magnificent UK £5 coins that countdown the years of the Thirtieth Olympiad - 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. The four companion coins complement one another beautifully, each featuring a border symbolising a bird’s eye view of the new stadium, a countdown ‘clock’ and the London 2012 logo.
In Brilliant Uncirculated quality, the 2009 coin and the 2010 coin are now available housed in a Countdown Collection box to which you can add your 2011 and 2012 coins when they become available.
Both the 2009 and the 2010 coin packs are now available together within a free Countdown Collection box in which to house all four coins - the final two will be available in 2011 and 2012. Sports enthusiasts will be keen to own the 2009 and 2010 coins as we countdown to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games - the sporting highlight of our generation.
