This Silver Proof version of the Royal Engagement Alderney £5 Crown bears the officially approved – by Her Majesty The Queen and Prince William – double portrait of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, created by our own Royal Mint engraver, Matthew Bonaccorsi to commemorate the announcement of the couple’s engagement in November 2010
The first coin struck by the Royal Mint to celebrate a Royal Engagement is simply stunning in silver, hand finished to our outstanding Royal Mint Proof standard to create a lasting reminder of the happy occasion. Your coin is housed in a deluxe display case, complete with Certificate of Authenticity confirming its low issue of 15,000 pieces.

This coin has been authorised by the Channel Island of Alderney with a denomination of £5. The obverse will feature the Queen’s portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley FRBS. The coin is subject to a maximum coin mintage of 25,000.
